Pastry Chef

Laura loves to bake! It was one of the first things she ever taught herself and her passion has continued to grow over the years. Yet, she never considered it a career option until March 2016, at which point she started researching and taking online baking courses. Toward the end of 2016 the idea of The Midnight Baker was born...through a stint of late night baking sessions to get all of her baking completed in time for Christmas.

Laura is always striving to do her best and never stops trying to learn new tips & tricks. As they say, when at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. So her knack for improvisation often comes in handy!

Building a sense of community and helping others is personally important to Laura, and it gives her true joy to share scratch-baked goods with others. What better way to get to know someone than over a hot cuppa and a sweet treat?

Ben discovered his passion for operations management while running his own cleaning company before retiring to focus on the family and household management. He’s always had a knack for organizing from interior decorating to book keeping. He supports Laura's baking projects by cleaning the disaster of a kitchen without complaining after a long night of baking. He's also a great source of encouragement to her whenever the seeds of doubt set in.
